Spring's Story
i have club feetMy Right foot was worked on more then my left. I don't know why!
I have some flexibility with my right foot, but can not move my toes or wear high-heals.
As for my left foot...oh boy! No movement, not even up or down. All my toes are crooked, along with major calluses. And 2 sizes smaller then the other, along with my heel not able to touch the ground.
I am booked for surgery sometime next fall and am looking forward to it. I will be getting my toes straightened and hopefully my tendon lengthened so my heel will be able to touch the ground. This will help with the shoe size.
I also have been looking into calf implants...at first I was a little creep'ed out by it, but am warming up to the idea.
The implant surgery is not that well known in Canada. I have found a doctor in the Toronto area that performs it. I have a little more research to do before I contact him.
I'm planning up keeping my profile as up-to-date as possible on this site. Hopefully others will find my information useful or helpful. Any Questions, don't hesitate.
I'm a 28 year old female who was born with club feet. Im avalible by e-mail if you would like to share your storie, or just need someone to listen.

Hi my name is Grace, i'm 13 years old and i have a club foot in the left foot. I have had two operations 1 when i was 3 months and 1 when i was 2 years. I am going to a party soon and i am dressing up as Alice in Wonderland and i really want these high heals for them, but my mum and dad said i can't buy them. i am really jealous because i see all my school friends wearing these really nice high heels and i know that i will never be able to wear them.

I was born with Spinabifida and club foot on my right one only. It really upsets me sometimes because I am really into fashion and clothes and I LOVE SHOES! Especially high heels, I get so jealous when I see other girls with their cute heels and knowing that i could never wear some! :'(

I'm 65, had severe bilateral clubft., turned completely around, 12 surgeries from few mos. to age 12. wore adapted shoes, bar betw. ft. as toddler at nt., reg. shoes at 14, molded shoes by age 40. Lengthening heel cords helps. w/flat ft., never wear heels-get over it. I wore dressy kid's shoes size 13 as young adult w/dresses to work. Have surgeries, they help. Need rt. M.D. Best guess about toes-mine scrunched too, in womb as baby, compressed in 1st. trimester. When 1 ft. needs more, because it's more affected. E-mail me.

Hello,
I was also born with a club foot. My right foot is smaller then my left foot. It is really difficult to find shoes. I really like heels and I wish I could wear them. I'm really trying not to feel so uncomfortable with my leg. I want to embrace it. I want to learn more about it. Glad I found this site.

I was born with severe club feet too. I believe tendon surgery will help you. It must be harder for a women because of wearing heels is so important to them. I'm sorry to say but wearing high heels will do more damage in the long run. I will say a prayer for you and good luck with your surgery. God Bless, Tom W
