Robin Ortiz's Story
i have club feetI had my corrective surgery when I was 6 months old. I was told that my doctors tried the stretching my feet but it wasn't working. The Shriners out Tampa Florida paid for my great uncle and my way to a hospital in South Carolina. There are pictures of me with hip casts then with me walking around with knee casts. There are also pictures of me in shoes with braces. I call my grandpa shoes. I don't remember any of this.I was told no jumping but being a child I did jump. It would hurt a little while but I would do it again. Because of the casts, my toes are curled over and I have trouble keeping arches. It hard finding shoes because I have small wide feet. I never had any trouble playing as a child but sometimes the pins in my ankles feel like they move and I get sharp pains in my feet. The best thing is that I was never made fun of by anyone.
