my son daughter has club feetMy son was born with bilateral clubfeet and was in casts from birth till he was 18mnths old. He then had surgery to release the tendent in his ankle to help his feet and was back in casts again for another 6weeks. After the casts were off for maybe 6mnths he was wearing special boots as his feet were giving him more pain. In other words my son has been in and out of different types of casts, boots, inners and is still having trouble with his feet. He is now waiting for AFOs to be made for him and i would just like to know if anyone has had this happen to there child or if anyone has any helpful advice?

Expect to have to go back for many adjustments. It takes time to get them right. The main problems with the AFO's is the foot slipping out or he will somehow magically wiggle his way out of them. Another problem is skin breakdown, so you have to watch out for that as it can become a major complication.
