my son daughter has club feet
I knew from my first ultrasound that my son had Spina Bifida and clubbed feet. When he was born he had to stay in Children's Hospital for ten days before he could come home. At about a month old he had surgery to repair his back, which was very succussful. Two weeks later casting was started on both of his feet. One of his lower legs and foot is smaller than the other. He had casting for four weeks, then he had surgery to release the tendons in his ankles. Soon the doctors will put shoes with braces on his feet for three months. His doctors say he is responding very well given his situation and that he more than likely will not have any serios long lasting affects from any of this.
